Sturdy Hinged Box with Flush Fitting Lid

Today's project is this lovely sturdy box with a flush fitting lid.

As you can see, I really went to town on my boxes and gave them the "Bling" treatment with pretty gems and silver cording trim !   Well they are Christmas Gift Boxes so why not !!!

I used my beautiful stamp set "Flurry of Wishes" and stamped pretty snowflakes onto my cardstock.

These boxes are super sturdy and as a result are not the quickest of projects, but they are well worth the effort.

To demonstrate the point I have made this accompanying video tutorial. so grab yourself a coffee and a set yourself some "me" time aside as the video is quite long - nearly 40 minutes in total!

Chocolate Box Clutch Bag

Hello and thank you for stopping by today.

Today's project is this super cute little Chocolate Box Clutch Bag.

Designed to hold a very generous amount of your favourite chocolates, I thought this design would be a very sophisticated way in which to gift a choccie treat or two (........or more as you will see in the accompanying video tutorial !).

I clear embossed some beautiful butterflies from the stamp set Papillon Potpourri down the centre of the cardstock.

I used a variety of punches including the new Curvy Corner Tio Punch for the box and added a pretty embellishment from my crafty stash.

I used my Flower Shop stamp set and Pansy Punch for the pretty flower detail.  This link to a tutorial by France Martin gives clear and concise instructions on how to prepare the stamp set ready for use with the co-ordinating punch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FxVfySyiYWM

Magnets have been used to create a "snap-shut" closure.   Here is a link which gives details of the magnets I use;

Instructions for creating the box can be found here on my You Tube tutorial.

I hope you like this project and why not have a go at making one yourself ?
