Treat Pouches

Hello

Today's projects are these super quick and easy Treat Pouches.

These are generous in size.  Each holds 5 Lindor Chocolates (which themselves are generous in size).

They literally take minutes to make but are so pretty.

I felt they would be ideal as Teacher Gifts, now that the school holidays are looming.

You can make them as pretty or as masculine as you wish.

I used papers from the Neutrals 12 x 12 Designer Series Pack and also the Subtles 12 x 12 Designer Series Pack - Smokey Slate and Pink Pirouette.    I added beautiful glittery Wash Tape to both, which I received as a freebie during the recent Sale-A-Bration promotion.

On doing some research I found that some people refer to this style of packaging as "Sour Cream Sachets", and they are usually sealed shut with double-sided tape at both ends.   Seems such a shame to me.   I am all for recycling and giving mine a ribbon fastening closure means they can be used again.

I used 5 1/2" x 8 1/4" paper for each and this is my video tutorial which gives you instructions on how to make them.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Notepad Cover and Pen Holder

Hello

Firstly apologies for the multi-colour text - Blogger is not playing ball with me this morning !

Some of you might remember I published this project way back last year when my Blog was relatively new.  So for those of you who are new readers of my blog and avid papercrafters I thought I would share it again with you today.

I receive lots of lovely comments from my customers who regularly receive covered notepads with pen-holders from me as part of my "Thank You Pack", which includes one of these with a handmade card and a free Stampin' Up! product

Unfortunately I have been unable to source more of the pens featured here, so I buy clear plastic ones from Sainsburys and decorate the inside with Designer Series Paper to match that on the front of the notepads.

I am still recovering from a nasty bout of sciatica so crafting has been a virtual no-no for me.  But I am looking back at my older projects and planning to revamp them with new products which will soon be available with the launch of the new Stampin' Up! annual catalogue on 1 June.   This little beauty might just receive a little revamp too !

The covers are very simple to make and turn a cheap little pad into something a little more special.

I used the lovely Fun Flower Punch and Beautiful Bunch Stamp Set (available as a bundle, saving you 15%) as the focal point on the front of the cover.  Sadly this gorgeous bundle is retiring and will no longer be available after 31 May.

I wanted to share here with you just how simple these are to make.

Great for selling at a craft fayres, and  great for unique handmade gifts.

You will need quite a slim pen.  Nothing too thick.

I do hope you like these and that you enjoy this video tutorial which shows you how to make them:

Thank you for stopping by today.

Stampin' Up! Cards for Keeps VIP Event - I'm a Runner Up !

Hello !

I wanted to share with you my good fortune.

Yesterday it was announced that I am a runner-up in the Stampin' Up! Cards for Keeps VIP Event with this card, well actually one almost identical, but tweaked with a few minor changes AND I forgot to take a photo !!! :-

I loved making this card and have featured it in a previous Blog Post.

So - What is the Stampin' Up! Cards for Keeps VIP Event?

Cards for Keeps is an Ebay Auction where cards made by Celebrities are auctioned to raise funds for the Charity Coram, the UK's oldest children's charity.

Stampin’ Up! UK is collaborating with celebrities and artists to create unique cards using a selection of Stampin’ Up! products. Their creative projects are to be auctioned on eBay in May 2016 with all proceeds going to Coram, the UK's oldest children's charity. Every day Coram finds adoptive families for children in need of loving permanent homes.

Cards made by celebrities for the 2014 Cards for Keeps auction resulted in frenzied bidding on cards made by celebrities such as Benedict Cumberbatch, Twiggy, and Tom Hiddleston, and this helped to raise thousands of pounds for Coram.

Submissions by celebrities and artists for the 2016 campaign has seen some excellent and creative contributions.

You can see the regularly updated 2016 gallery here. "

UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrators were invited to submit a design of their own for the event. So I feel very honoured and privileged that my humble little card secured me a place as one of the runners up.

Follow Cards for Keeps on Twitter to stay up to date with all the latest news: @CardsforKeeps

Health permitting, it means I have the opportunity to visit Stampin’ Up UK HQ on Friday 13th May to watch the final hours of the auction unfold.  How exciting !

Thank you very much for stopping by today and thank you to all the lovely visitors to my Blog who have been sending me some lovely "Get Well" messages.   It means an awful lot to me.

Thanks again.

Definitely Delightful Dahlia

I adore the contemporary look of the gorgeous large background stamp Definitely Dahlia.

Stamped here in Soft Sky I chose to utilise only half the image so it appears on the left-hand side, leaving room for an appropriate sentiment which comes from the set A Dozen Thoughts.

I used my Bitty Butterfly punch to punch out a stencil on a spare piece of cardstock and used that as a mask.  Using my dauber I gentle applied Soft Sky ink over the stencil to create the butterflies and then simply added some co-ordinating ribbon and a few pearl embellishments before layering upon a piece of Soft Sky cardstock and applying to my Whisper White 5 1/2" square card base.

I had trouble with my lighting the day I took these photos - so apologise for the picture quality.  But I hope you like this little project.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Shelf Card

Well now .................. where do I start with this one ?   What do I call this one ?   Its an Easel Card, but its also a Shelf Card as there is a little decorative panel that sits on and hangs over a shelf/mantlepiece.

I saw some shelf cards on Pinterest which feature some comical little people - so I thought outside the box which I often do...... and came up with this super shiny silver embellished 50th Birthday Card.

A special occasion merits a special card so I went to town with stamping and heat embossing in silver.  I used my Flower Shop Bundle and Petite Petals Bundle together with my Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack for the beautiful flowers.  The leaves are not Stampin Up dies.

The fabulous Large Numbers Framelits Dies provided a nice big number 50 focal point, which I layered on a large punched circle which is layered upon a larger silver scalloped circle which, again, is not a Stampin Up die.

I really do like this style of card and shall be experimenting with the syle in various different colourways - so watch this space.  Hope you like it too.

I just need to make a box for it now!!

Thank you for stopping by today.

Bloomin' Spectacular Botanical Blooms !!

I just completely and utterly love love love this bundle of Botanical Blooms !

I love adding die cuts to cards to give texture and I really love that with the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies every card can look so completely different using different colour combinations for the cards.

I have featured a clean and simple all white card here on the blog recently using the same dies.

So I thought it would be fun to put together a little colour fest here with this one.  And I just love how it turned out.   I stamped some large tropical leaves in the background and the flowers and ferns make the whole thing pop !!

I was in need of cheering up and this card achieved that - it makes me feel happy and sunny just looking at it.  Roll on summer xx

Thank you for stopping by today - its much appreciated.
