My husband lost his childhood buddy and best friend very recently and this week we had to say a sad goodbye to Greg Paul Watkins. It was heartbreaking but as nice as such an occasion can be. We listened to a beautiful recording of a song written and performed by the great man himself, beautiful readings and at the end, saw the release of a dozen white doves symbolising his spirit flying free from all the pain and discomfort of his final months.
So I had to find it in myself to come up with a suitable card, fitting for such a sombre occasion.
Well this is it:-
I kept it quite understated and subtle, which is how I think Sympathy Cards should be. Shades of Whisper White and Smokey Slate. The beautiful Flourish Thinlits Die is so pretty and intricate. The sentiment is from Hopeful Thoughts.
Well that's it from me for this week. Its funny how your mood can affect your crafting abilities. I have spent days in the craft room this week and produced just two cards. Crafter's Block perhaps ?
We lost the last of our pussy cats this week. She was a sweet 17 year old tabby. Tinkerbell. We said goodbye to her sister Lulu six weeks ago. Guess that means I will have to update my profile.
Hope the old mo jo kicks in next week.
Have a lovely weekend everybody and thanks for stopping by.
