Touches of Texture Inspired By My Bed Linen !

So......there I was mooching in my bed yesterday morning looking at Pinterest as I often do, searching for inspiration and then realised I was snuggled up in it - literally !

I have this bed set which a mix of Soft Sky,  Whisper White,  Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette, Crumb Cake and Sahara Sand (well that's my story - and I'm sticking to it).

So I mosied into my craft room and assembled all the above mentioned inks, some Soft Sky card stock and my Blender Pen.  I love my Blender Pen and don't use it half as much as I should.

Touches of Texture is a fantastic double set of stamps that can be used to create wonderful unique cards.  It is full of different collage type images.  There are so many, you are just spoilt for choice really.   Amongst all of these is a pretty branch motif which for me was perfect for the image I was carrying somewhere in the depths of my creative mind !

I stamped the branches in Crumb Cake onto a layer of Soft Sky.

I applied Whisper White ink to each of the flowers  and added touches of Pink Pirouette and Melon which I blended together to give a soft chalky mixed Pink shade.   I did the same with the leaves using Whisper White and Sahara Sand.

The effect is soft and subtle.

I added a layer of Pink Pirouette card stock and some retired lace and ribbon.

After a therapeutic and relaxing ten minutes or so a Birthday Card was born.  I felt it needed just a little touch of something extra and out came my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush just to add a little touch of magic, together with some little butterflies and pearl embellishments.

I do hope you like today's project - and thank you for taking the time to stop by today.
