Combining Foiling and Stamping - Definitely Dahlia Thank You Card

Today I have a video for you.  I posted this card earlier this week - which you may have missed as it appeared in a post about the personal successes I have had since I joined Stampin' Up! and how it all boils down to building a great team and having great customers.

The video explains the process of using a stamped image, in this case the fabulous Definitely Dahlia, and stamping, laser printing/copying and foiling the sentiment using the Minc by Heidi Swapp.   Hope you find it interesting.

Of course, you don't have to foil the sentment at all - how about heat embossing with clear Stampin' Emboss Powder ?  Or, simply stamping?

I am just enjoying exploring ways of using foiling to enhance my own Stampin' Up! projects.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have found this post interesting.

Bye for now,

Linda

Bella & Friends Notelets Boxed Set

There is now so much talk of Christmas that I thought it would be nice to create a project that in no way relates to Christmas.

We all need cards for different occasions and I decided to put together a little set of four co-ordinating cards using the very cute Bella & Friends stamp set set and also used some sentiments from my Teeny Tiny Sentiments.

I adore the Bella & Friends stamp set.  It puts me in mind of my own dear little dog Lenny.  Lenny is now 15 years old and still as cute as a button, although sadly age has not been kind.  He is completely deaf, almost totally blind now and extremely arthritic.

But I like to think of the mischevious little chap that wagged his way into my life all those years ago. As a pup he had the same cuteness as the little dog featured in this adoreable stamp set.

So, these are the four little cards I created for my boxed set.

I created layers of colour co-ordinating card stock and Designer Series Papers using colours from the Brights and the Subtles collections.  I stamped the images in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and heat embossed the images using some clear Stamp n Emboss powder to create the shiny little dog. I then coloured the focal point using my Stampin! Write marker pens and die cut the toppers using my Layering Ovals Framelits Dies.  The toppers were adhered over some ribbon onto the layered base using Dimensionals to give a little height to the focal point.

Then I stuck the collective layers onto cards from the Note Cards and Envelopes packs in Whisper White.

Here are the dimensions for the little box which is made using thick Whisper White cardstock:-

Long side score @ 1, 4 3/4", 5 3/4", 9 1/2" inches

Short side score @ 1/2, 1 1/2", 6 3/4" and 7 3/4" inches

Top layers measure :  4 3/4" x 3 1/4" inches
                                   4 1/2" x 3 1/8" inches
                                   4 1/4" x 2 7/8" inches

And before I love you and leave you, here is a photo of my dear little Lenny in happy and healthier times :-

Thank you for stopping by today - hope you like this little project and my gorgeous little boy.

Bye for now.

Handy Customer Christmas List Notebook using Delicate Ornament Thinlits Dies

Christmas is almost upon us and if you are anything like me, you probably make lots of lists.  Lists of presents for people, lists of food, lists of beverages, lists of guests............ and so it goes on.

So from this week and leading up to Christmas, I am sending out little covered notebooks to my customers, ideal to slip into your handbag, when you go out shopping for those Christmas goodies.

Appropriately, they have a little Christmas Bauble topper.

I used Melon Mambo cardstock, gold foil card and paper from the Brights Designer Series 12 x 12 paper stack.

I also used for the first time my new Big Shot Platform.  It has an adapter specifically for use with thin dies and it cuts these delicate dies perfectly.  No need for the precision plate.

I think these gorgeous little notebooks are simple, small and neat and really useful right now.

These are being sent out to all customers, no matter how big or small the order as a little "Thank You" for shopping with me.

Thanks for stopping by today - don't forget to check out the Extravaganza via my 24 hour online shop.   Click HERE

Bye for now.
