Foiling is becoming hugely popular and I am excited to share with you that I have recently invested in a Heidi Swapp Minc Foiling Machine and I am really thrilled to report that I am ecstatic with the results I have been getting.
Of course its great having a new toy - but what is equally fantastic is that I am able to use it to foil images from my fabulous Stampin' Up! stamp sets and not just shop bought generic images !!!!!!!! And I can use my beautiful Stampin' Up! card stock. I have not tried foiling on the entire range of colours, but I can report that I successfully foiled onto Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Soft Sky, Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, Pool Party and Black card stock.
I can also create my very own designs and foil them using permitted digital downloads of images that catch my imagination.
Getting and using any new toy takes time and patience and a lot of trial and error.
But I am delighted to share with you this card created using the Minc to foil a Stampin' Up! stamped image.
The image I am referring to is the focal point of the card - the number 19. Some of the eagle eyed amongst you may have spotted that the pretty pattern is from the stamp set Awesomely Artistic.
In order to be able to foil stamped images, you must have a laser printer with a scanning/photocopying facility. You CANNOT use inkjet printers.
This video talks you through the process of foiling laser printed stamped images successfully using the Minc.
I believe that foiling has opened many exciting creative doors for me personally.
Hope that you enjoy this project and thank you for stopping by today. I am now off in the words of Heidi Swapp to "make pretty things" !!
