Amazing You ! Blended and Beautiful - Another Sneak Peak from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure

Well now - I do love to be a tease !!

So I thought I would pop in and tease you with another glimpse of something beautiful from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure !

In fact, for this card I was inspired by a card that features in the new Sale-A-Bration Brochure (makes a change from Pinterest !!).

So out came my Blends.  I used the Dark and Light Calypso Coral Blends to colour the beautiful flowers on this card.   Hard to believe its a freebie stamp set isn't it ?  Don't you just love the sentiment stamped in three different colours.

I am really getting to grips with my Blends now and have discovered a love for colouring !!  They really do live up to their name and they blend together beautifully.  I highly recommend them.

I'm off to do some more colouring - getting addicted !!!

Ciao for now.

Can You Believe It's Free ?? Another Sneaky Peek and news of another Free Shipping Promotion !

Often when I see stuff advertised as "Free" I get all sniffy and tell myself "if they're giving it away free - then it can be up to much ?"

Well now, just take a little lookie here at these gorgeous images - aren't they stunning !

Yes folks - it's another little sneaky peak from me.  These cards are made using one of the stunning stamp sets you can choose for FREE from the upcoming Sale-a-Bration Brochure which goes live on 3rd January.

Excited ?

I know I am !!!!

I ought to clarify though,  that the sentiment is NOT from the free set.  That comes from the current One Big Meaning stamp set, because I felt the card required a sentiment with a large font.

I have seen some beautiful cards made with this free stamp set doing the rounds already.  I decided to use it here as a background stamp for these two cards.

I think I may be playing with it a lot between now and the New Year !

Talking of "FREE"  - TOMORROW 11th December,  Stampin' Up! have decided to run another 24 hour "FREE SHIPPING" promotion which runs from 11.00 p.m. tonight and ends at 11.00 p.m.. on 11th December. So if you have been thinking of placing an order, I suggest putting it off until tomorrow and save yourself the £4.95 shipping fee ! Every penny counts on the lead-up to Christmas after all.

Don't forget to use my December Hostess Code if you spend more than £20+, to receive a free Rewards Gift from me in January ! My December code is CMANVQ79

THIS PROMOTION STARTS AT 11.00 P.M. TONIGHT AND ENDS
AT 11.00 P.M. TOMORROW NIGHT

Well that's my exciting news for today.  Have a lovely lazy Sunday - I will be back with another project tomorrow.

Ciao for now !

Sneak Peek of Something Rather Beautiful - Sweet Soiree Specialty DSP Pop-Up/Pop-Shut Cubed Box !

I kid you not - you are going to be blown away by the upcoming 2018 Spring/Summer catalogue.

I had to wait a little while to get my hands on it, because I did not attend the recent Stampin' Up! yearly convention.  I have just had to sit and drool at a PDF version !

One of the very first things that caught my eye was one of the new "Suites",  part of which includes some very very beautiful Designer Series Papers which I know are going to be A HIT !!  I needed a unique style box project to show off one of my personal favourites from the pack.

So I decided to do some teasing and created this cute little 2 5/8" x 2 5/8" inch cubed "Pop-Up/Pop Shut" box and I really love how it evolved.

Basically the base of the box is nice and sturdy - its one of those double thickness reinforced boxes.

I lined it with some Sweet Soiree DSP and created the pretty closure, so it pops shut.

Then I finished it off by adding panels in the same beautiful paper and a shimmery ribbon bow.

I got stupidly excited all over again - its lovely when a design really "works" well.

Aren't those colours glorious ? !!

Anyway - enough teasing from me.  Here is my latest video giving step by step instructions on how to make my box.  You can start practising and perfecting now, ready for when the new catalogue goes live in January !

Happy Saturday everybody.  It's the weekend - Yay !!

Bye for now.

Star of Light - Such a Pretty Delicate Stylised Star

I have had this stamp set since last year and decided to give it another airing this year for another batch of mass-produced Christmas Cards.

I do love the stylised star which I have used as the focal point, keeping the card clean and simple.

I used Soft Sky and Whisper White for these cards, a colour combination I love.  I think the whole card has rather a nordic look.

The Softly Falling Embossing has proved to be a very useful one this year.  I love the impression of softly falling snow and the texture it creates.

I added a simple solitary little pearl to the centre of the star.

I do think its important to give some thought to the inside of your cards too - and the stepped sentiment I have used for the inside of these cards is just perfect.

So that's another batch completed for a special group of people.

Hope they like them.

Stampin' Up! Pizza Box Adapted to Securely Hold Six Green & Blacks Miniature Chocolates

I recently posted this project with a  Step By Step Pictorial.  My original project looked rather different.

I had quite a few requests for a Video Tutorial and decided to put one together for those of you who like to learn in a more visual way, rather than reading a "recipe" !

I decided to make this one a Christmas themed one, using Year of Cheer DSP and those beautiful retiring large Foil Snowflakes.

This is a super, quick and easy, no fuss project.

Hope you enjoy it.

I will back tomorrow with another little project.

Thanks for stopping by and please pop back again.

A Christmas Painted Harvest - Pretty Pastel Wreaths

That Painted Harvest stamp set is a little winner to me.

Click Photo

Intended as Sunflowers, it has been fabulous to see it used to create little hedgehogs, mice - and I really enjoyed my own attempt at creating a cute little owl

I was inspired by its versatility again following a recent scout about Pinterest - and this is the result:-

Pretty little pastel effect Christmas Wreaths - again, going with my penchant for non-traditional Christmas colours.

I used the "stamping off" technique for each wreath so that the depth of colour was gentle and subtle and not too hard and bright.  This was achieved by loading my stamp with ink, stamping onto my grid paper first and then onto my card stock.  Each wreath is two toned.

I  die cut each little wreath with my Stitched Shapes Square Framelits Dies and mounted them on dimensionals, before adhering onto the dry embossed Whisper White card stock.  I used my Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the snowy textured background.

I was aiming for an ombre effect when I stamped up the sentiments on each card using a mix of the two colours used for each wreath (which, unfortunately, is a little bit difficult to determine from the photos).

Some simple white heat embossing for the little berries and a cute little sheer white bow completed each design.

I have to say - I really do like the end result.

I am almost done with Christmas crafting now.  But stay tuned as I aim to bring you two more video tutorials before the week is out.  One tomorrow and the last one on Sunday.

Lots to do today - I am completing the preparation of my big Spring & Sale-A-Bration Catalogue mail drop.  My catalogues arrive today - yay !   I can't wait to see them.

See you tomorrow.
