A simple Wedding Card for a Crafty Pal and her Groom x

A little over a week ago I attended the wedding of one of my crafty pals, and until now have not posted it to my Blog as I wanted to be sure that the recipients had opened it upon their return from their little minimoon !

Well I am happy to report that they have opened it and given it their seal of approval.

I chose to make it in Pool Party card stock and inks and Gold.  I used Sweet & Sassy Framelits Dies for the layered hearts.   I also used my Bloomin Love Stamp Set to stamp and heat emboss the gold floral centrepiece onto a piece of Whisper White card stock, which I also lightly sponged in Pool Party ink.   A Blender Pen was used to apply and blend some Whisper White Craft and Pool Party ink to some of the stamped flowers.

The sentiment is from the Rose Wonder stamp set.

I have to say I was really pleased with how easily this came together.   I think it is simple and unfussy, but quite easy on the eye.

Hope you like it too.

Thanks for stopping by.

Bye for now.

Partial Die Cut Flourishes !

So at the moment - I have a new obsession and its all down to that naughty influence ...................the wonderful Jennifer McGuire !

I find Jennifer so innovative and inspiring and spend a lot of time watching her fantastically clear video tutorials.   Anyway, one in particularly grabbed my attention the other day and it was for partial die cutting.   Of course, I just had to have a go myself and I love the result.    I added my own little touch though with a score along the line I used to line up the dies.

The Flourish Thinlits Dies lend themselves perfectly to this concept of die cutting.

Hope you like what I did :-

I used Heat and Stick and Dazzling Diamonds for the first card which is in Blushing Bride and Shimmery card stock with a touch of copper heat embossing.

The second is Pool Party and Whisper White with some clear heat embossing for the sentiment.

Both sentiments are from the versatile set, One Big Meaning.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

I am off to catch some more Jennifer McGuire !!

By for now.
