Happy Birthday Thinlits Die - Negative Space Filling. It's a little Jigsaw Puzzle

Sometimes I just like to keep my cards really clean and simple and let the sentiment do the talking.

That's what I love about the Happy Birthday Thinlits Die.   The font is big, attractive and definitely provides a great focal point.

I decided to create two cards.  One has a Whisper White top panel and the other is in Soft Sky.  I used Soft Sky ink and the new Marbled large background stamp on the Soft Sky panel, as I do like tone on tone cards (same colour ink/same colour card stock).

I then die cut the Happy Birthday Sentiment from the centre of each panel.

I took each of the die cut words placing the Whisper White word in the negative space left on the Soft Sky Panel and vice versa.

Then using a fine pair of tweezers I placed all the little bits that came away from the Soft Sky word and filled in the negative spaces on the Whisper White Happy Birthday die cut sentiment.  I repeated the process, adhering the Sky Blue Happy Birthday die cut to the negative space on the Whisper White panel and added all the little white bits in the negative space left on the sentiment.

It really was like completing two little jigsaws !  It was an absorbing little exercise.  All that remained to be done was add a few pretty little Glitter Enamel Dots to each card and job done.

Both cards fit a C6 envelope.

Hope you like them.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Happy Monday !
