Thank You Rosie xx

My family and I had a horrid week last week - we lost our beloved little dog Lenny the Lhasa Apso.  He made it to 15 years and a few days which was quite incredible really, bearing in mind that he was a sickly dog and at the age of 1, we were told that his life expectancy would be limited.

Well it wasn't - he was a tenacious little character.  He had to endure a daily cocktail of drugs and steroids, but he was tough and our little fighter.

His last two years were pretty miserable.  He lost his sight and his hearing and he developed arthritis.

A young Lenny Parker - How we prefer to remember him xx

He kept going, until it became clear to us that he could do it not more - in essence he lost his spirit and he was quite miserable.  We took the decision that all pet owners dread and out of kindness, his life was brought to a close.   We have some lovely memories of our little dog though.  We will miss him terribly.

Out of the blue, I received a really touching and lovely card - from Rosie Minors.  Rosie is a talented crafter and also a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.   Her card and her message is so appreciated by me and my family and has pride of place on our mantlepiece a present.  I wanted to share here with you her simple and clever card which means a lot.

Thanks Rosie for reaching out and being so very kind.

  2. Aw Linda and family, I am so sorry that you have lost little Lenny. To have reached the grand old age for such a little dog and one that had such a gloomy prognosis from puppy-hood is truly remarkable. It must have cost you a fortune in vet's bills, but was worth every penny I'm sure.

I love Rosie's card - very clever punch-art, so I will pop on over to her blog as so as I am done commenting on yours Linda.
