Paisleys & Posies in Striking Turquoise and Black

I love the dramatic impact created by using Tempting Turquoise and Black on this card.

My Paisleys & Posies stamp set has been crying out to be used, but I have been holding back and waiting to be inspired.

Now, a lot of my inspiration comes from Pinterest, but not this time.  This was one of those "Eureka!" moments - straight out of my head and onto my blank C6 sized piece of Tempting Turquoise card base.

I cut the black card stock cut at an angle and placed some dies from my Paisley Framelits over the triangular black card and ran it through my Big Shot.

Next I stamped out some of the co-ordinating stamps in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto a piece of Tempting Turquoise and then die cut them with the dies used on the black piece.

The black piece was adhered to my card base, and then like a little jigsaw puzzle, I filled the blank spaces with my stamped and die cut motifs.

I chose a sentiment from my One Big Meaning stamp set and stamped it at an angle.

I have to say that I am chuffed to bits with the result.  I am going to try this technique using other colour combinations, aiming for the same dramatic impact.

Well that's my little offering for today.  I do hope you like it and that you will pop back again tomorrow.

  1. Great card Linda, I too love the jigsaw effect of dies just slotting into spaces from dies the same shape. You must still have the black die cuts so you could use these on another card. You could use the same technique or you could cut out more of the same dies in black and build up the dues this time rather than jigsaw if them in.
