Pretty cards and boxes and dynamic fonts with a dash of Blooms & Wishes

Its that time of the week again for me.

Time to prepare and send out my "Thank You" packs.  These always include a handmade card and a little gift from me - sometimes pretty covered notebooks and sometimes a little something naughty and chocolatey in pretty handmade gift boxes (measurements for these boxes is given at the end .... so please read on).

A couple of weeks ago I used the stamp set Lots of Love and I was drawn back to it again this time for my little cards.

The sentiment on these cards is a really useful one as well as eye-catching.

"Sending Lots of Love" is so useful for all sorts of occasions where we wish to send someone a card.  Sending love for birthdays, maybe because someone is feeling under the weather, because they have received good news or even perhaps some bad news ......... It is, I think, a very useful stamp to have and it does make an impact.

Likewise, the "Hello" sentiment from the set Hello Friend on my chocolate boxes.  It's large attractive font definitely makes an impact.  I used Whisper White Thick card stock for these boxes.  It is perfect for making boxes and 3D projects, being heavier than our standard Whisper White card.

I used Blooms & Wishes again (yesterday I used it for my daughter's birthday which I am pleased to report, she loved it !!).  I love the creating my own backgrounds for cards and boxes and this background is just very pretty.

The "recipe" for these boxes is:-

Card stock measures 7 3/8" x 5 1/4 inches

Short side score @ 1/2", 2 3/8, 2 7/8" & 4 3/4" inches
Long side score @  1/2", 1", 6 3/8" & 6 7/8"

Here is what your template should look like after cutting:

What I particularly enjoy is being able to create my own co-ordinating cards and little gifts.  It's lovely to have them matching.  And hey - who needs DSP when you can create your own !!

Thanks for taking the time to stop by today.  I do hope you pop back again.

Bye for now,

Linda xx
