Little Asda Covered Customer Note Books - Petal Garden in Sweet Sugarplum

Every single order I receive is very important to me - no matter how big or small.  The fact that somebody has taken time out to visit my Blog or do a search to find my shop is a big deal for me.

That is why I think carefully about my Thank You packs - the handmade card, the little handmade gifts and SU products.   Sometimes I send out chocolate bars (although this came back to bite me on the bum during the summer, when one of my customers told me hers had melted in the post !!).  I often send little covered note books to showcase our beautiful DSP, punches, dies, stamps, etc.

Well having had some lovely feedback and a request for the recipe of one of my recent dispatches, I have decided to show you how I put this recent batch of notebooks together using Sweet Sugarplum papers from the Petal Garden pack of 6 x 6 inch papers.

I purchase my little books from Asda.  They are a nice size with a generous amount of pages.

I start by removing the front cover.

I take one sheet of DSP and cut it down the middle at 3 inches.  One sheet will cover two note books.

I use strong double-sided tape and apply a strip along the spine.

Then I take a piece of 3 x 6 paper, hold it against the front of the note book and crease at the top, folding over the spine.  I remove the protective back strip and stick to the spine.

Then I turn the note book over and apply more double-sided tape as indicated below.

Once the cover is in place, its time to decorate.  Last week I used a stamp from the stamp set Just Add Text.  I particularly liked the sentiment.  So I stamped up multiples on some Whisper White card stock in Sweet Sugarplum to match my DSP.

I then took a selection of square dies from my Layering Squares Framelits and die-cut the sentiments and some pieces of Whisper White and Sweet Sugarplum card.

These were all layered and then adhered to my note books, finishing off with gorgeous Sweet Sugarplum Striped Grosgrain Ribbon Bow.

I love how they turned out and its always pleasing to know they are gratefully received.

Well these have all gone out to their recipients now, so I know what I will making today !!

Hope you have a lovely day and thanks for taking the time to stop by.  Please pop back tomorrow.  I have Project No. 8 in my Christmas Countdown - and its a big big gift box !!

  1. Thank You Linda, I do Love these, we have our Christmas do at work soon, and we have all been asked to bring a little something for the raffle, my choice was stocking fillers, so I have made some of your beautiful lip butter boxes, and I think these note pads will go well with them. Have a Blessed weekend, big hugs, Lu x
