Emboss Resist Technique - Awesomely Artistic & Large Letter Framelits

I decided to make a card using the Emboss Resist technique, as I had two colours swirling around in my head that I just knew could look so very pretty together

So I took a piece of Whisper White card stock and applied Versamark to my stamp and stamped up my card.  Then I applied clear embossing powder to the stamp image which was then heat set.

I chose to use Flirty Flamingo and So Saffron, but before doing so I applied White Chalk ink to my daubers.   Then I squeezed some colour from each ink pad onto their respective lids.  I picked up the colour onto each dauber and first sponged on the Flirty Flamingo, working in circles and slowly building up the colour.  The chalk ink acted to soften the colours giving them a real pastel/chalky look which is very pretty.  Next I added the So Saffron and just love the way the colours fused together so beautifully.

I covered a separate piece of Whisper Whisper card stock with Versamark and clear embossing powder and heat set that also.  Then I die cut the word "HUGS" using my Large Letters Framelits Dies.  I also die cut it again in Flirty Flamingo.

You can see just how gorgeous and striking the word "HUGS" looks when layered across the front of card.

To me it just gives the card a bit of of a "Wow Factor".

It's my favourite card so far this month and will be winging its way in the post to one of my lovely customers next week !   Hope they like it.

I'm off to fetch a cup of coffee, then I am going to look at creating a card for tomorrow, using one of the great new bundles from the 2018 Spring Summer catalogue.  Which one ?    Now ......... that would be telling !!!!!

Have a fabulous Sunday everyone.

Ciao for now,

Linda xxx
