Busy Busy Busy !! New Catalogue Launch

Yes folks - I have been busily putting together Catalogue Launch Packs for my customers who have placed orders with me since January.  They are such a lovely and valued bunch, that I decided to spoil them !

Preparing these packs was very time consuming, I'm not going to lie, but I felt the effort was worth it.   I have ensured that my little customer base will not only be receiving a complimentary catalogue from me, but also as there has been a complete colour revamp - I thought it only sensible to provide them with colour swatches of the complete range of Stampin' Up! coloured card stock.  Its one thing to view them in a glossy book, but quite another to be able to touch and scruitinise the real thing.   I have included a Wish List and a little Belgian Chocolate treat to be enjoyed whilst browsing all the wonderful new stock.

It's such an exciting time for fans of Stampin' Up!  I have received many enquiries and I am 100% confident that nobody will be disappointed with this new Annual Catalogue.

Right ..... I am off for a cuppa coffee, a Belgian Choccy and another read of my catty !

Ciao for now.

Good Toes - Naughty Toes ! Masked and Blended Beautiful You

I love the Beautiful You stamp set and I particularly love the image of this lady:-

My husband gave me a giggle when he looked at it ...... and started chanting "Good toes...... Naughty Toes".  It brought back fond memories of my daughter's ballet lessons when she was a little tot many moons ago !

Anyway, I dug out another stamp set.  Touches of Texture has some really useful images and I love the lacy image.  I thought it would work well with my lovely lady.  I used the masking technique for this one, stamping her image onto a Post-It Note with full adhesive backing and cutting her out (as per the photo above).

My card is a wee one.  It's only 3 x 3 inches - perfect for showing her off beautifully.

Step one - I stamped her with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto my little Whisper White layer.

Step two - I used my blue Post-It Note mask, placing it securely over my stamped lady and then loaded my lacy stamp with some Flirty Flamingo ink.   I stamped this a few of times across the masked image.  I removed the mask and my little dancing lady was all ready for a little colouring session using some blends.

I layered her onto some Flirty Flaming card stock and then adhered to my 6 x 3 inch card base, scored at 3 inches.

She is small and she is dinky and she makes me smile. I love my little card.

Thanks for looking - and I hope you will visit my blog again.

Have a lovely lazy Sunday.

Stencilling with Springtime Impressions Thinlits

I love the soft and subtle technique of stencilling with Whisper White Ink.  I tried it here on a returning colour which will be available from 1 June.  Coastal Cabana was one of the colours that was around when I first discovered Stampin' Up! over five years ago, and was a favourite of mine at that time.

I used the gorgeous butterfly as a stencil, which was die cut from the new Springtime Impressions Thinlits.

The lovely curly sentiment is from the new Stitched All Around stamp set.

It's just a really simple little card made using an oldie but goodie stencilling technique.  It's great to stretch those products, getting the most from them.  Intricate dies can create really pretty stencils.  I hope this inspires you to go look at your craft stash, because I wouldn't mind betting you have some pretty butterfly dies lurking somewhere within it.

Well I hope you approve of my project today.  Thanks for looking and I hope you will pop back again.

Bye for now.

Beautiful You & Stitched All Around - Old Meets New

When I espied the fabulous new Stitched All Around stamp set which debuts in the upcoming new Annual Catalogue, I was struck by the pretty font style and also the sentiments.

I chose to use one of those sentiments for this card as I think it works so well with the elegant lady from the Beautiful You stamp set.   Beautiful You was a big hit with customers when it was introduced in last year's catalogue and I believe that this new stamp set will prove to be just as popular.

I kept everything very simple for this one, with my sophisticated lady providing just a little splash of colour !

I rather like it - hope you do too.

Thanks for looking.

New Springtime Impressions Thinlits & A Super Sturdy Tote Bag with Reinforced Handles

As soon as I saw the Springtime Impressions Thinlits, I knew exactly the project I had in mind to showcase them.

A few months ago I designed a gorgeous tote bag with strong reinforced circular handles.   I also had a design for a scaled down version with oval handles.  The dimensions and proportions of my scaled down tote were perfect for showcasing these beautiful and intricate dies.

I used the new Garden Impressions DSP 6 x 6 pack, and the decorative paper I chose for this project in shades of pink was very pretty and feminine and just ideal for this very "girly" gift bag.

My original design with the circular reinforced handles was made from DSP.  This one is super sturdy as it is made from card stock and decorated with DSP.

Both the papers and the thinlits used here will be available to order from 1 June

Well, I hope you like today's little offering and maybe feel inspired to make one..  Below is my video tutorial providing step by step instructions on how to put one together:-

Thanks for looking, and I would love you to pop back.

Masking Technique Video Tutorial Now Published For This Pretty Butterfly Rainbow Card

Due to lots of requests, I have re-published this post today to include the Masking Technique Video that I have now recorded giving you step by step instructions on how to make this card, which please see below.

Today's card looks pretty simple and straightforward doesn't it? What do you think - a 20 minute job?  I wish !!

This card, once I had mastered the art of not getting myself all in a stamping mess, was quite nice and quick.  I chose to employ the masking technique for the second day running.  Achieving my finished example through trial and error took me about an hour and lots of wasted card stock.  For the particularly strong shades of Island Indigo and Rich Razzleberry - I also used the "Stamp On-Stamp Off" technique to soften the colours.

The Butterfly Basics stamp set and coordinating Butterflies Thinlits Dies will not be making their way into the new Annual Catalogue on 1 June, so if you like them and have been dithering about whether or not to treat yourself, just bear in mind they are now only available until 31 May or while stocks last.  The sentiment is from the stamp set Floral Phrases.

Well that's it from me today - I have to say that by the end of this crafting session, I had multicoloured fingers, even wrists !!  I was one inky mess.  Does this happen to you when you are crafting ?

Thanks for looking, and I would love for you to pop back again sometime.

Have a lovely day.
