Love What You Do & Some Chalky Blending

There are some very pretty images in the Love What you Do stamp set and I decided to use a few for this little card.

I chose to work with Gorgeous Grape card stock which is a beautiful rich purple colour.  I heat embossed the stamped images with white embossing powder and coloured each of the flowers and berries with Whisper White Craft Ink, applying it in light strokes with a blender pen.  I do keep one blender pen specifically for using with white chalky ink.

I like the understated finished result but added just a touch of bling with a few sparkly embellishments.

Hope you like it.  Things have been a little quiet from me, because life just gets in the way sometimes, but I have been back crafting and trying to rekindle some creativity.  I have even managed to put together a two-part video tutorial which I hope to share over the coming days for a cute little 3D project.

So its ciao for now and I hope you will come back for another visit.

Linda xx

  2. Beautiful! Love the softness produced by this technique of using blender pen and white craft ink. Can you please explain how you used ‘pajnted’ the inside of the flowers. TIA

  3. Love your card. I need 3 sets of cards for small bingo gifts for a church function. Was not sure what I wanted to do because of limited time, but now I know. Will make 4 different colors of this card with 4 different sentiments, put one of each color in a clear box, add a bow and be done in no time with great items to donate. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

  4. Thank you Linda for demonstrating how a simple card can look classy too! Putting the white embossing powder with the white chalk ink inside the flowers is such a great technique. White craft ink has gone to the top of my Wish List now. The white looks amazing against the dark card stock such as the Gorgeous Grape and I am sure it will work with other dark card stocks too. Thank you for sharing this project with us crafters Linda. xx
