Botanical Bliss - Lovely Lipstick & Chalky White Heat Embossed Flowers

White heat embossing on boldly coloured card stock is so striking.

The pretty flowers from my Botannical Bliss stamp set are perfect for creating both pretty backgrounds and focal points.  Having stamped and then heat embossed the floral motif with white embossing powder, I felt it would be nice to soften the image by applying some chalky white ink with a blender pen.

It's a nice technique which I have used quite a few times now.  I have been asked about how the chalk ink is removed from the blender once used, and I have to say that I keep one pen dedicated solely for applying chalk ink in my stash, so that I don't have to worry about it tarnishing my collection of ink pads.

Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.

Ciao for now,

Linda xx

  1. You are so right Linda, they do look amazing against the dark pink card stock. The chalky inners are something i haven't thought about before and as the blender pens come in a set of two (it is a good idea to keep one for the chalky inks and the other for the rest of the colours). TFS :O) xxx
