Dashing Deer Bundle and the Watercolour Block Technique

I have been wanting to make this card for a little while now.   Its a very simple technique for which I used an acrylic block, some reinkers and a spritzer, plus watercolour paper.

I added some drops of Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay and Pool Party ink onto my size E acrylic block and simply spritzed it.   Then I applied the block to an area to the right-hand side of of my watercolour paper as I wanted to keep a lot of white space.

There are lots of YouTube tutorials for the technique.  Just type Watercolour Block Technique into the Youtube search engine.

I sped up the drying process by using my heat tool.  Once the ink was dried, I stamped on a tree in Tuxedo Black Memento ink, then die-cut my deer from Sparkle Glimmer Paper.  I added dimensionals to attach, and then stamped on my sentiment in Bermuda Bay Ink

It was quick and simple and I just love the result.   I shall be trying this technique with different colours and will revisit this project to share my results.

Hope you like it.

Thanks for looking, and please pop back.

  2. Hello, I do believe your blog may be having internet browser compatibility problems. When I look at your web site in Safari, it looks fine however, if opening in IE, it’s got some overlapping issues. I merely wanted to give you a quick heads up! Other than that, wonderful blog!
