Tropical Chic - The Ink Pad Swiping Technique

This warm and colourful card was super quick and easy and great if you need a card in a hurry.

To achieve the colourful sunset effect all I did was use three different inkpads and did the Ink Pad Swiping Technique (it's the first time I have tried it and I am hooked).

I chose to use Pineapple Punch, Melon Mambo and Calypso Coral.  I used the Pineapple Punch inkpad first and simply lined up my ink pad with the side of my Whisper White card stock (in portrait) and dragged it from one side of the card stock to the other.   Next I used Melon Mambo and this time dragged from the opposite side to the other and finished up with Calypso Coral, dragging that too, along the bottom of my card.

All the colours merged to give this really cool tropical sunset effect.

Then I stamped one of the gorgeous tropical leaves in black down one side and selected the sentiment (which I love !).

I layered onto Pineapple Punch card stock and then finally onto my black card base.

I am chuffed how it turned out.

Hope you like it too.   Thanks for looking.  If you haven't done so already, I would love you to subscribe to my blog in order that I am able to share future projects with you.

Have a lovely week.

Bye for now,

Linda xx
