Pin Cushion Gift Jar

I came across this idea on Pinterest and just had to share it here with you.

I have a few crafty friends whom I know would absolutely love to receive this.   It also struck me what a fabulous idea it is for Craft Fayres.

The original Pin Cushion Jar I came across was much smaller than the one I have used, and contained buttons (ideal for crafters).

I used a Kilner specialist preserve jar and the inside of the lid detaches, which enables you to create the pin cushion.

I sourced some small Kilner jars which are available at John Lewis at a cost of  £1 and I purchased this larger one at The Range for £2.49.

I found some very pretty fabric at The Range for the Pin Cushion which is not made from fibre fill or cotton balls. I cheated !!! Mine is made from Bubble Wrap !!!!!!!

Ever so easy to make.   See this link to a brilliant tutorial by Amy Sinibaldi http://www.ehow.com/ehow-crafts/blog/making-it-pretty-the-mason-jar-pin-cushion-sewing-kit-2/

I had to give the project the Stampin' Up!  touch though.

So I added the lovely Whisper White Satin Bow and stamped up the label which is from the "Oh My Goodies" stamp set and then die cut the image using the co-ordinating Deco Labels Collection Framelits Dies The stamp set and dies can be purchased together as a bundle or purchased separately - See my product list below.

I hope you like this project and may be inspired to put one together yourselves.

Thank you for stopping by today.
