Fabulous Fry Box Caddy

Well my new toy arrived yesterday and I could not resist a play.

So here is the Fry Box Caddy made using the Fry Box Bigz L cutting Die from Stamping Up.

I am always impressed with products that I can adapt.  I came across a Blog post from Lyssa Griffin (see below)  which sealed the deal for me and the Fry Box went straight on my last order.  I can see many possibilities for this die and will be posting a series of posts with different ways in which you can use the Big Fry Bigz L over the coming days.

This is Lyssa's blog post :

Basically, I die cut the Fry Box twice and assembled as per Lyssa's instructions and "voila" a super little caddy.

I used my Fun Flower Punch and layered an eye-catching flower on each side of the box which were adhered to a layer of paper from the 12 x 12 Brights Designer Series Paperstack.

I stamped up a sentiment from Circle of Spring on Whisper White Card which I punched out with the Large Oval Punch and layered this on card punched with the Scalloped Oval Punch.

The handle was punched out using the Extra Large Oval Punch.

I have a birthday in the family this week and this will be used by me to gift some nail varnishes and sundry manicure items to the lucky lady.  Equally it is great for tasty treats too !!!

Place an order with me for the Fry Box Bigz L today, and I will send you a free pre-cut kit to make up this caddy whilst you await delivery !!   You will also receive a free gift by way of "thank you".

Thank you for stopping by today.

Shadowbox Birthday Card

We had a special Birthday in the family this week.   My lovely mother-in-law's.

She has had it pretty tough of late and I wanted to make something a little special for her.

So this is the result of my labours :

Shadowbox Cards have been popping up everywhere and I have always felt daunted by them.   However, I had this tutorial from Rica's Haven tucked away in my "Favourites" and decided to give it a go :

It was surprisingly very easy and I shall be making more

I used Pink Pirouette Cardstock. The dies on the front of the shadowbox are Butterflies Thinlits Dies, whilst the little one on the inside is from my Bold Butterfly Framelits Dies set which is on layers cut from my Squares Collection Framelit Dies.   The background stamp and sentiment on the little square panel on the inside comes from the set World of Dreams.

I layered a piece of Whisper White cardstock on the inside and stamped Happy Birthday using the large stamp from my Hostess Set Happy Birthday Everyone. And for an extra special touch, I punched the corners of the inside layer with my new Curvy Corner Trio Punch.

I am very happy to report that Mary loved it and I hope you do too.

Silver Embossed Pillow Box Gift Box

I can't stop playing with my new Square Pillow Box Gift Box Die from the new Autumn/Winter catalog.

My latest delivery of goodies from Stampin' Up! included a pack of Tempting Turquoise A4 cardstock.  How have I overlooked this beautiful vibrant blue cardstock for so long ?!!!

I just knew I needed to put it to good use and so came about this stunning little project.  The marriage of Tempting Turquoise and Silver embossing is perfect for this stunning little giftbox.

I stamped and silver embossed with a stamp from the set Awesomely Artistic, and embellished with punched flowers using my Pansy Punch and the little floral punch from Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.  The box was finished with little rhinestone jewel gems - its almost too nice to part with !!!!

I put to good use the new triple punch from the Autumn/Winter catalog too.
This clever punch is a "must have" for any serious papercrafter.  It combines two decorative corner punches for your papercrafting projects, plus a handy little ribbon slide.

I punched a little ribbon slide at each end of the pillow box gift box to securely hold in place the new silver cording trim (also in the new catalog).

I hope you like my little project - instructions on how I created it can be found here on my latest You Tube tutorial:

Thinking Outside of the Baker's Box

I love it when I get hit by a flash of inspiration !

That's exactly what happened today - when I decided to experiment with my lovely Baker's Box Thinlits Die.

As I played about with my cardstock, my idea grew legs.   Literally !!!!!!

I used my Decorative Labels Punch for the front and back legs.   I used my retired Curly Label Punch for the side legs.  A Square Punch from Stampin' Up!s current range of punches would work just as well for the side legs (details in the Product List below).

I added the faux drawers using my retired Modern Label punch.   The current Word Window Punch will work just as well with this project (details in the Product List below).

I think using co-ordinating DSP really worked well and the addition of pretty punched flowers really enhances the project.

Before I knew it, my plain little Baker's Box had evolved into a pretty Amoire.

I think this is a delightful way to gift a present.

I hope you like it too.

These would be fantastic in a Baby Themed version !!!!!!     Ooooooooh - back I go to my craftroom.   See you again soon xx

Here is my video tutorial which explains how to put the project together :
