Shadowbox Birthday Card
We had a special Birthday in the family this week. My lovely mother-in-law's.
She has had it pretty tough of late and I wanted to make something a little special for her.
So this is the result of my labours :
Shadowbox Cards have been popping up everywhere and I have always felt daunted by them. However, I had this tutorial from Rica's Haven tucked away in my "Favourites" and decided to give it a go :
It was surprisingly very easy and I shall be making more
I used Pink Pirouette Cardstock. The dies on the front of the shadowbox are Butterflies Thinlits Dies, whilst the little one on the inside is from my Bold Butterfly Framelits Dies set which is on layers cut from my Squares Collection Framelit Dies. The background stamp and sentiment on the little square panel on the inside comes from the set World of Dreams.
I layered a piece of Whisper White cardstock on the inside and stamped Happy Birthday using the large stamp from my Hostess Set Happy Birthday Everyone. And for an extra special touch, I punched the corners of the inside layer with my new Curvy Corner Trio Punch.
I am very happy to report that Mary loved it and I hope you do too.
Thank you for stopping by today.
