Notepad Cover and Pen Holder

Firstly apologies for the multi-colour text - Blogger is not playing ball with me this morning !

Some of you might remember I published this project way back last year when my Blog was relatively new.  So for those of you who are new readers of my blog and avid papercrafters I thought I would share it again with you today.

I receive lots of lovely comments from my customers who regularly receive covered notepads with pen-holders from me as part of my "Thank You Pack", which includes one of these with a handmade card and a free Stampin' Up! product

Unfortunately I have been unable to source more of the pens featured here, so I buy clear plastic ones from Sainsburys and decorate the inside with Designer Series Paper to match that on the front of the notepads.

I am still recovering from a nasty bout of sciatica so crafting has been a virtual no-no for me.  But I am looking back at my older projects and planning to revamp them with new products which will soon be available with the launch of the new Stampin' Up! annual catalogue on 1 June.   This little beauty might just receive a little revamp too !

The covers are very simple to make and turn a cheap little pad into something a little more special.

I used the lovely Fun Flower Punch and Beautiful Bunch Stamp Set (available as a bundle, saving you 15%) as the focal point on the front of the cover.  Sadly this gorgeous bundle is retiring and will no longer be available after 31 May.

I wanted to share here with you just how simple these are to make.

Great for selling at a craft fayres, and  great for unique handmade gifts.

You will need quite a slim pen.  Nothing too thick.

I do hope you like these and that you enjoy this video tutorial which shows you how to make them:

Thank you for stopping by today.

  5. Thanks for this video tutorial on this super project Linda. AFter I had made it I thought it might be an idea to add a strip of card inside so that the notebook can be slipped under the flap instead of being stuck down. In that way the beautiful cover can be used again and again instead of being a single use one. I love all your tutorials and have made quite a lot of your projects. Many many thanks. Christine
