One fabulous member of my team has a reason to celebrate this week - and I felt that this was a great opportunity to try my hand at making a Shaker Card. I have seen lots of these now, and have wanted to have a go, but never have, and this is the result:-
The rather appropriate sentiment comes from the Happy Happenings stamp set. I used my Hopeful Thoughts stamp set for the leafy detail with was heat embossed with Silver Stampin Glitter.
The shaker element was created by applying Stampin' Up!'s new Foam Adhesive Strips to the back of the top layer behind the window sheet aperture and then applying that layer to the layer of Whisper White card stock on which I had stamped and silver embossed the sentiment. I cut some silver sequins from my roll of Silver Sequin Trim and used these for the shaker element of the card. Then both layers were applied to the Melon Mambo card base.
I finished the whole thing with a cute punched little butterfly, made using the Bitty Butterfly Punch.
So the card and a little pressie (below) are now winging their way to my fabulous team mate to celebrate her achievement.
