So today is Week 3 of Pootles October Design Team Challenge and this is my project using our designated stamp set Totally Trees
I love Pool Party card stock and I really do love the new Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder and I am a paper crafter who believes less is more.
But this week I had the urge to create something a little more elaborate. So, like last week, I revisited an old project of mine - the Faceted Box made using the Envelope Punch Board (see my video below for instructions on how to create one using 8 x 8 card stock). For this box, however, I used two pieces of 6 x 6 inch cardstock and punched and scored at 3 inches.
The bottom faceted panels have been stamped with the Hardwood background stamp and heat embossed with Copper Stampin' Emboss.
The faceted top panels were stamped and heat embossed with one of the pretty motifs from Totally Trees.
I decided to add a very ornate topper in the form of a paper crafted chrystanthemum. This was created using scalloped circles from my Layering Circles Framelits Dies (separate video will follow). The edge of the petals also have copper embossing to add more dimension. A pretty ribbon bow closure and some gorgeous copper metallic thread completes my design.

These boxes may look complicated, but honestly, they are super easy to make. If you have not done so already, why not have a go?
