Abby requested a special personalised card for the bride and groom. This presented the perfect opportunity for me to play with my Stampin' Up! stash and also my Heidi Swapp Minc.
I do love the simplicity of the design. I have based it on a previous but slightly different Engagement Card I made for my niece.
I chose a simple Gold and Whisper White colour scheme for the card. I foiled a pretty laser printed pattern I found online and then die cut the hearts and layered them. Texture was added with some retired gold cording trim.
I laser printed and foiled the sentiment on front. It is a 5 3/4"inch piece of card (you do have to have a laser printer able to take card stock).
I felt it important to incorporate the special date. Then I applied the hearts and layered the whole thing onto a 6 x 12 inch piece of Whisper White card stock, scored at 6" inches.
The beautiful thing about the Minc is that you can create a lovely foiled insert too. This carries a special message from my daughter.
I have to say that I have found that Whisper White card is perfect for foiling as it is beautiful and smooth. For a perfect foiled image you do need a very smooth card base. I used the thick one for this card and was very happy with the result.
I do hope it becomes a keepsake and a lovely reminder of a perfect happy day.
The bride and groom are going on a road trip to the US for their honeymoon, so Abby also requested a wallet for their dollars (Abby's gift) !!!
Out came the Bunde of Love Foiled 12 x 12 DSP stack, along with some Gold Foiled Card, Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies and Ovals Framelits, together with my Floral Phrases stamp set for the sentiment on the wallet, and "voila" a pretty little wallet for a fistful of dollars !
I have just been told the bride to be has opened her card and loves it - yay ! Result xx
Cheers Heather and Josh - Hope your day is just perfect !
Enjoy your weekend everyone and thanks for passing by.
