It's a gorgeous mini clutch bag box with a magnetic closure and is really handy for those small, hard to wrap, little Christmas gifts such as cosmetics, nail varnish, jewellery etc.
I based this little box on a previous project of mine for a large Clutch Bag gift box, but I have refined the closure on this little version.
Created using Year of Cheer DSP from the new Seasonal brochure, I opted for the gorgeous copper foiled design. It's really beautiful. I used a little Copper Trim Ribbon to accessorize and I heat embossed in copper too for the little topper.
Here is a side view of the box :-
I hope you like it.
Here is my YouTube tutorial which gives you step by step instructions on how to make one:-
Below is also a link to my large original version of today's mini project. You will note the adaptations I have made for the closure:-
Thanks for stopping by - and I hope this inspires you to go away and have a go.
Bye for now - and Happy Friday everyone, the weekend is almost here again. Yay !!

ReplyDeleteThank you Katherine - and pleased to hear it xx
DeleteThis is another absolutely gorgeous project! I had a thought while watching your video, when you mentioned about your scissors not wanting to cut the ribbon very well. I'm a paper crafter as well as a sewer (is that a word?) and one thing I know about scissors is not to mix up my paper and fabric scissors. One will dull the other, either way. So my thought for you, and other paper crafters, was perhaps, if it's possible, use one set of scissors only for cutting your ribbons and trims, and have another pair for cutting all your paper products. You may find the scissors stay sharp longer. I hope this is a helpful comment and I hope you have a wonderful day! Thanks again for all your beautiful projects you share. I find so much inspiration in them. Respectfully, Kathy/dannyscotland
ReplyDeleteI know Kathy - I set myself up for a fall by using them to cut ribbon a while ago now. Call me a plonker !!! Thanks for your suggestion though. So pleased you like the project xx
