Christmas Sparkle - A Hearts Come Home Bundle Project

When I saw this bundle on opening the new Seasonal Brochure, I just knew I had to have it.

I love contemporary cards but I also do love more traditional cards too. Mix the two concepts and you get something quite special.  I saw a sparkly potential for some beautiful cards.  This was what I had mulling around in my mind and it translates beautifully onto card -  pretty traditional Christmas village, done in monochrome but with cool sparkles to mimic a snowy Christmas scene.

Hearts Come Home, Linda Parker UK Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

I have worked with Pool Party card stock as the background colour and die cut the little village in some Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper.

I backed the houses in the front row with Pool Party card stock by taking a scrap of Pool Party, placing the die cut on it and drawing an outline, cutting out the shape of each house and sticking to the back of the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper.

I also punched out a little star, adding a small rhinestone, and heat embossed the sentiment in Whisper White Stampin' Emboss Powder.

There is not a lot more to add, other than I am just really happy with this sparkly and stylish 6 x 6" inch card.   Going to make up a batch in non-traditional Christmas colours to send out with next week's Thank You packs.

Thanks for visiting - and I would love you to pop back again.

Have a great day.

  1. Linda, You already know how much I love your projects and certainly after a year of not doing much crafting you have given me enough motivation to start again. I truly love the Christmas catalogue and there is so many things that I love in there too. Love this bundle and I think I will rethink about it. Off to look at my catalogue again. Hugs Rita xxxx
