I have had Flirty Flowers for a little while and not really used them. I bought the set because the tall floral silhouette stamp really appealed to me. So yesterday I decided to put it to good use.
I took a 5 x 3.5 inch panel of Whisper White card stock and placed it horizontally in my MISTI. I cut two 5 x 1 inch pieces of card and placed them along the top and the bottom of my card stock and held them in place with magnets.
I used my Sponge Brayer to roller on some ink, first working in Soft Sky and then some Island Indigo to create the strip across the centre of my card.
Still using the MISTI I then inked up the tall flower stamp in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and stamped it onto the blue strip. I wanted a really dense black image so re-stamped it before re-positioning the flower and stamping a second one (again re-stamping over it until I was happy with the density of the black image).
My One Big Meaning stamp set is a "go to" for me. I particularly like the font and the sentiment used on this card.
When completed, I stuck the panel to a Whisper White Note Card. But it occurred to me that I could just as easily have applied the masking and stamping direct to the note card itself to create a single layered card. So I have decided to do this next time using some different colours.
Hope you like it.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by today.
I will be back tomorrow with another little Stampin' Up! project !
Bye for now,
Linda xx
