I love the sweet Pretty Kitty stamp set which has some pretty cute illustrations. So this illustration was just perfect as she also happens to enjoy her garden !
I used my MISTI (you would need a stamp position for this technique if you decided to heat emboss the outline image).
- Position your card stock in your positioner and stamp in Basic Gray Archival Ink. I felt that black would be too heavy.
- Clean the stamp with a baby wipe leaving it where it is in the stamp positioner. Apply clear Versamark and stamp again.
- Apply clear Stampin' Emboss Powder and set with a heat tool. Now you are ready to apply some colour to your stamped image.
I used my Stampin' Write Marker Pens, selecting a variety of pretty colours. I made sure to use Tempting Turquoise too as this tied the whole thing together. I used Whisper White card stock on a layer of Tempting Turquoise card stock and then adhered the two layers to the C6 card base.
I thought it would be pretty to die-cut the the stamped image using my Layering Circle Framelits.
After doing so, I felt the whole thing needed just a little more Ooomph !
So I used my Dazzling Diamonds on the outer scalloped circle which was in Tempting Turquoise.
Now you do need to use a sticky powder to set the Dazzling Diamonds glittery embossing. I used Heat n Stick which Stampin' Up! sold until very recently. A little market research has revealed that similar products are available by Ranger and Cosmic Shimmer.
I love the little bit of razzle dazzle that the Dazzling Diamonds adds to the card.
Pretty Kitty is a set which I will never get tired of. Its a keeper !
Anyway - that's it from me. I am off to the kitchen to make Lasagne and Chocolate Brownies, so no crafting for me today.
Enjoy your Sunday, and please pop back again.

Hi Linda, such a simplicitic idea that produces such a fantastic card. Tying the colours used in the frame in your coloured imaged is such a must but not known by all crafters. Rosemary, Stampinup along with the Sweet Kitty (i think thats whats its called) has got a dog stamp set called Bella and Friends and I'm not sure but there might be a matching die set. Is there Linda?
