It's an enormous Cracker Box - actually its a Box Within a Cracker Box !
I love the large crackers that I have seen cropping up on Pinterest and Facebook. I wanted to make one, but one with a difference. I wanted mine to hold another gift box, making it extra-strong and capable of holding something weighty if required.
I used the Envelope Punchboard for my Cracker, but if you don't have one, don't despair because there are lots of videos on You Tube showing you how to the achieve the same shape with just a few snips of your scissors !
This beautiful and stylish Cracker is the perfect way to gift something special to your loved ones at Christmas and will look gorgeous under any Christmas Tree.
I have made a step by step video tutorial showing you how I made mine. I hope it inspires you to go away and try making one too :-
Thanks for popping by and please check in again tomorrow for my final project in the Pootlers November Design Team Challenge.
Ciao for now !

ReplyDeleteI DO, I DO, I DO, I DO, I DO. You asked on the tutorial if we approved well 'I do'. It is amazing Linda what a project. I think it is one of the best christmas projects I've seen so far this year. Firstly you thought 'out of the box' so to speak :O) and put a big box inside a big cracker. Then you helped those crafters, like myself, in giving them the tip in how to form the diamond shapes at the end of the cracker formed by the envelope maker. Well if you haven't got an envelope maker it can be quite frustrating when a demonstrator says 'and now with the envelope maker ...' I just wanted to ask Linda, I have a present that needs a box 2 1/2' x 6 1/2" is there anyway that a box this size could be made and fit into the cracker? If it couldn't fit inside the cracker, then could a box be made with these dimensions? If so, could you help me out, I would be extremely grateful. Thank you. :O)
ReplyDeleteThank you Lorraine for your comment. Unfortunately, I cannot think of a way you could made a 2 1/5 x 6 1/2 box from 12" card stock. Maybe I am having a brain fog !!? I am sorry. If I have a "light bulb" moment, I will let you know. So pleased you like the project though x
