Colour Co-ordination is Key - Petal Garden DSP with some Dazzling Pool Party elements

I know I harp on about it, but I honestly do believe that the key to a really attractive, easy on the eye card is colour matching and co-ordination.

It's how Stampin' Up! lured me in !!

I am a big fan of papers, cards, inks and embellishments that match.

With this very simple Birthday card, I have used some Pool Party DSP from the Petal Garden 6 x 6 inch Designer Series Paper Stack.  The ink is Pool Party as is the Shimmer Ribbon.  I also created some glittering Pool Party card stock for the sweet little butterfly, using Pool Party card stock, Heat & Stick Powder and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.  I think the whole card comes together really well.

I like to keep things simple too.  So a nicely framed topper is the centrepiece whilst the little decorative accents around it work their magic.  I used my Layering Squares and Stitched Shape dies for the topper.   The other components are listed in the Supply List below.

This is a 6 x 6 inch card base with a 5 3/4 inch layer of Whisper White and a 5 1/2 inch layer of pretty DSP.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by.  I hope you like today's project and that you will pop back again tomorrow.
