Pretty Background Stamping with Bloomin' Love Heart ?

I love this heat embossed Thank You card. The white embossing looks stunning on the crisp Lemon Lime Twist card stock.

Look closely though.  Can you tell what I used to create the background ?

I like to get a little more out of my stamp sets, stretching myself to think a little outside the box.

The Bloomin' Love stamp set is pitched as a set for Valentine's Day, which is great - but if you look at it like that, then that's pretty limiting.

I do love the pretty little filigree heart motif but decided to use it here, in a way that you wouldn't perhaps normally think to.  I stamped it all over the Lemon Lime twist card panel at different angles, in clear Versamark and then applied White Stampin' Emboss Powder which I set with my heat tool.

Its hard to tell that I used a heart shaped stamp to create such pretty and unique background for my card.

Sweet & Sassy Framelits Dies were used to form the topper and I added a nice sentiment from my One Big Meaning stamp set, stamped in Lemon Lime Twist ink, adding the delicate Ombre Bow.

I have to say, I do love this card - I hope the recipient does too !!

That's it from me today.  I hope this card gives you are little bit of food for thought and that you will pick up a few of your stamp sets and maybe consider using them in ways that really do offer a little bit more versatility.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you will pop back again.

  2. Hi Linda, thank you for such a lovely looking card. But that's not why I am commenting, I think what you have done with the Bloomin Love Stamp is a real breath of fresh air. I love it when demonstrators find different ways for us crafters to use our stamps. dies and stencils in different ways. You would think that getting crafters to buy new products would be their only want. But no, its helping us crafters find ways in which we can use our stash (even if its not the one being demonstrated) in order to make different products. Thank you so much, I think you one fantastic demonstrator and I will, when I am crafting look at my stash and think of other ways they can be used. :O)
