I decided to use another of the word dies from the set for today's card, in the same way as I detailed in yesterday's Blog Post. http://www.papercraftwithcrafty.co.uk/2017/12/masked-circles-celebrate-you.html
I have never attempted the Bokeh Technique before, so I thought I would give it a try.
I was thrilled with the effect.
I created a nice blended background using So Saffron, Tangerine Tango & Melon Mambo. Once that was complete, I used a mask made from a scrap piece of card through which I had punched circles in three differing sizes. I applied some Whisper White Craft Ink, using the circles as stencils and sponging on the ink which my daubers. You will note that some of the circles are whiter than others, creating an illusion that they are closer than the paler hazier ones.
I do think to get a nice effect it's best not to go mad and sponge on too many circles. "Less is More" is my motto and that principle seemed to work very nicely with this project.
The sentiment is from the photopolymer stamp set Lovely Friends. I masked off part of the sentiment and used the word die to form a slightly different one.
Well I hope you like it and maybe have a go if you haven't tried the technique already. I really enjoyed it
Thanks for visiting today - and I hope you will pop in again.
Ciao for now,
