Monotone Definitely Dahlia & Touches of Texture

I do love monotone cards and tone on tone stamping.

That to me is the beauty of Stampin' Up!   Its fabulous how you can use card stock and the exact same colour ink for perfectly coordinated cards.

For this tent card, I stamped up my card base in Flirty Flamingo ink on Flirty Flamingo card stock (I just love this colour).

Then I stamped the floral image from Touches of Texture onto a piece of Whisper White, again in Flirty Flamingo. I used a blender pen to add some ink to each of the flowers and leaves and cute little bee.

I die cut the topper using my Stitched Shapes and Layering Ovals Framelits.  Its very hard to tell from the photo, but I layered each of  the Whisper White ovals onto a couple of layers of Flirty Flamingo ovals.  The topper resembles a wall plaque - its very 3D !

I decided to add a sentiment and used a teeny weeny stamp from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set, setting it on a slight curve on my acrylic block so the stamped sentiment is curved to reflect the shape of the oval topper.

I was ever so pleased with how it turned out.  I am going to replicate this card in some other bright colours.  I think the formula works really well.

Thanks for looking.

I can't believe it's Monday already !  Have a great week everybody.

I love the way you have Flirty Flamingo die cuts under the Whisper White it just shows a slight bit of pink all around the edge, I am going go to do this if I am cutting more of one die shape for a project in the future.
