I had already been busy creating another project using the very pretty intricate Detailed Floral Thinlits Dies, when my thoughts turned to how I could get more mileage from intricate dies. So I started playing around with my Versamark Pad and began experimenting with transferring the beautiful intricate design from the die to a piece of card stock and using it almost like a stamp to heat emboss a replica of the pattern and use it as a card base. And here are my finished cards. I am so excited by the results that I could positively burst !!
As demonstrators, we are lucky to be able to pre-order products and test them out before the catalogue goes live. Well the first things I opted to choose as my freebie items from the Sale-A-Brochure were both the Amazing You stamp set and the Celebrate You Thinlits Dies. I had placed an order in excess of £135 which allowed me to select the two as a co-ordinating Bundle, and I am so glad I did.
The word dies are just lovely and are going to be so very useful for a variety of different projects from cards to 3D projects, such as boxes and bags. I know I will use them time and again. The stamp set is also very versatile. I have already made a few projects using it which I have published in posts here on my Blog.
So with a lot of excitement, I am thrilled to be able to share my latest video tutorial, demonstrating my technique of transferring and heat embossing designs from intricate dies to card stock :-
Thanks so much for stopping by on this very exciting day, being the launch date of the Stampin' Up! 2018 Spring/Summer and Sale-A-Bration promotion. I do hope you will pop back for more of my projects using some of the exciting new products over the coming days/weeks.
Ciao for now,

ReplyDeleteJust watched your video and indeed what a super idea.
ReplyDeleteYou made wonderfull cards with it.
Linda, what a beautiful set of cards. I really would not have thought of doing this with a die at all. I have heard that you can use a die sometimes as a stencil but not ever using the actual piece that comes from the die as almost as a stamp with the versa mark ink. How does your creative brain work Linda? Thank you though because I love it when our stash is stretched to be used in different ways. :O)
