I picked out some scraps in Powder Pink, Flirty Flamingo and Gold Foil and using my Stampin' Trimmer I cut some strips of card in differing widths.
Next I applied a rectangular strip of Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet cut at 5 7/8 x 3 3/4 inches to a piece of card stock which measured approximately 6 x 4 inches.
Then I lay my strips diagonally across the rectangular base until the whole length of the adhesive strip was covered. I flipped it over and trimmed off the excess using the edge of the base cardstock as my guide. Then I simply cut it down to a 5 x 2 1/4 inch piece which I adhered to a piece of Flirty Flamingo which was cut at 5 x 2 1/2 inches. This was then adhered to a Whisper White Note Card Base (5 x 3 1/2 inches).
I used my fabulous Celebrate You Thinlits Word Dies to die cut the sentiment twice. These were layered upon each other to give the card some dimension and make the sentiment really stand out. These dies are lovely and can be obtained FREE from the 2018 Sale-A-Bration Brochure if you place an order of £90+ (not including shipping) . There are lots of lovely free products to choose from if you are placing orders of £45 and over.
Maybe this little post will help you to look at your scraps differently ? Its a cool technique and was really very enjoyable.
Thanks for looking and I hope you will come back again.
