Bloomin Love & A Diagonal Textured Background

I tried something which I haven't tried before.  Some diagonal scoring on my Simply Scored scoring board.

The background was perfect for showing off my layered heart topper, the centrepiece being the pretty intricate heart which I stamped in Whisper White Craft Ink.  I managed to obtain quite a nice dense white image by using my Misti and stamping several times before drying with my heat tool, re-stamping again and drying.

I layered my card onto a piece of Sweet Sugarplum card stock before applying to a Whisper White note card base.

I love the textured look of the diagonal background and the layers of hearts through which I punched a hole and added some ribbon to create a pretty tag topper.

Its a pretty little card which I am pleased with.  I shall be trying some more diagonal scoring for backgrounds because I think it looks pretty cool !

Thanks for looking and please pop back again soon.

Bye for now,

  1. Linda, what a beautiful card. I love the simplicity of the look of it even though I know it wasn't simple to make as there was a lot of work in putting it together. I do love the diagonal scored background I think that really sets off the hearts. Thank you for sharing this project with us crafters Linda. :O)
