Oh how I love to tease her about it ! I knew her birthday was looming so I threatened (promised) her that I would be creating her a little something in her "favourite" colour.
I heat embossed some white embossing powder over two thirds of my card, sponged over in white ink to give the card a really soft ethereal look. Then I applied some colour to the stamped image with my blender pen.
The butterfly is from the Move Me Thinlits set.
Would love to have been a fly on the wall when she opened this one.
The irony is - she said she likes it ! Has she been converted ? You never know.
Thanks for looking. I would love you to pop back again !

Yellow was a color I was not appreciating that much, but after I organized this summer my 10th annyversary party I learnt to love it...it is really full of happiness and light! Yellow is the color for the 10th year anniversary...

I like soft mellow yellow - it is a happy colour. We all need "happy". Thanks for your comment Cristina x
DeleteI think your friend doesn't like 'canary yellow' this yellow on your project is subtle and a beautiful colour yellow and the other colours such as the green and pink look fantastic with this yellow whereas with 'canary yellow' not so much. A lovely card for your friend though she will have known how much work you put into making it for her. Thank you for sharing this with us crafters. :O)
ReplyDeleteNot a fan of screaming canary yellow either ! But thumbs up to mellow yellow. Thanks Lorraine xxxxxx
