I do like working with white heat embossing on Crumb Cake card stock, so I decided to try it with this stamp set.
I used my Blender pen to ink on some colour for the leaves, stem and the bow. It is a two part stamp set and whilst I did this for the base flowers, I chose not to for the leaves and stem as I wanted the image to be a little bit more defined in places rather than kind of "splodgy" for want of a better word !
Using my Stitched Shapes & Layering Ovals Framelits Dies, I created a pretty topper.
I repeated a little trick I tried the other day to, only this time I applied the sentiment to the card base and not the topper. I used my Thoughtful Banner photopolymer stamp set and set the little "Thank You" stamp at a curve on my Size A Acrylic Block and stamped it to echo the curve of the oval topper.
Its a simple little card, but I rather like it - I like even better because the Lots of Lavender stamp set was FREE !!
Thanks for looking. I hope you will pop back and see me again.

DeleteFabulous card Linda x
ReplyDeleteHi Linda,
ReplyDeleteI like simple cards sometimes because the less fussy can make them look classy, so from now on they are not 'simple' but 'classy' cards. I particularly like crumb cake or kraft coloured card stock too. I am still uncertain about this stamp set (I know its free with SAB), its not the actual stamp per say its the stamp to colour in the leaves and flowers which I am not keen on. I know they are supposed to be 'artsy' but I am not keen on 'artsy' then. I would have to colour the leaves and flowers in myself, which is ok but then a bit of a waste of a free stamp set when there are others such as the 'peacock' which I haven't got yet and am getting quite fond of seeing the different designs being created with it. I love your design with the Lots of Lavender though.
