Open Topped Gift Box With Angled Bottom - in Sweet Soiree DSP from Stampin' Up!

Now here is a little project which I first shared on Facebook a couple of years ago.

Its quite complex in its construction which is probably the main reason why I have not shared instructions on how to make it before now.

I would class this as an intermediate project which might frustrate beginners in papercrafting, but I would love to be proved wrong.   The cutting and scoring of the template, together with the placement of the adhesive is very specific for the construction and successful completion of this open topped box.

But the complexity is worth it for the end result - a pretty and unusual open topped box with an angled bottom.  I think it would be a perfect box for soap makers who make things like bath bombs, and is great for showing off the contents in clear cellophane wrapping

Anyway - enough from me.  You can judge for yourself whether it's a project for you by watching this step by step video tutorial.

I have been quiet in Blog Land this last week as I have been busy temping.  I hope to enjoy some quality crafting time come the weekend.  It's Friday everyone - YAY !!!

Thanks for looking and I hope you will pop back again.

Bye for now,

Linda xx

  1. Linda as I have said previously you are the 'Queen of Box Making', I have never seen such wonderful boxes made out of card stock and DSP before. I don't know where you get your inspiration and ideas from and how you work out how they are put together is amazing! I will be having a go at this project as it is a 'work of art' and you did go slowly through the video tutorial and the instructions were written on the screen as well. So thank you so much Linda for a great video tutorial for us crafters. :O)

  2. I love your blog! You are a very talented lady!
