I did some ombre sponging, starting with Rich Razzleberry and working through Berry Burst, Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo, Calypso Coral and So Saffron.
Then I created a mask by die cutting what I describe as the trellis die from my Eclectic Layers Thinlits. The mask was laid over the ombre base and then I sponged through the mask using all of the above colours.
I really like the result - it's soft but effective.
The black die cut sentiment was heat embossed several times with clear embossing powder to achieve a really nice shiny effect.
Hubby came in and his verdict was "Wow - I like that. Very contemporary" !! He loved the colours too. High praise indeed !
Well I hope you like it too. Its a very nice and absorbing technique. Should keep you out of mischief for a while !!
Thanks for looking - and I hope you will pop back again.
Bye for now,
Linda xx

DeleteFantastic! I think you have created such a fabulous project this time Linda that us crafters need to see it created on a video tutorial. I have read through your blog post and I understand to a certain extent what you have done to create this card design but to do it justice a video tutorial would be best especially for the stencilling part Linda. Please Linda. :O)
