Easter Bunny 3 x 3 Inch Cards -

I thought as Easter fast approaches that I had better cram in a little Easter project - and just how sweet are these ?  They are wee.  I designed them to fit a 3" inch square envelope.

I used an assortment of punches. The smallest one in the photo has retired.  You could probably get away with punching a 1/2 inch one in pink for the mouth/tongue.

A small selection of dies.  These are from the Stitched Shapes, Layering Ovals and Sweet & Sassy Framelits.

6 x 3 inch card stock scored at 3 inches.

Place heart shaped die on the folded card stock overlapping the fold as shown - the die is approx half way down the card.   Run through your die cutter and also cut an extra heart which will be used later.

Your card base will look like this.

Remove a small section from the "ears" as shown below and adhere to the reverse of your card base, making them as upright as possible, in order for them to fit inside your envelope.   I found that if you don't get them upright, the finished card will be too wide for the envelope.

Trim the end of the spare heart and adhere to the inside to cover the ears as shown.

Add eyes and the smallest pink circle as indicated below.

Add cheeks

Cut some whiskers (I used Basic Gray card stock) and stick to the cheeks.

Cover with the Pink Circle.  Use a White Highlighter on the eyes.

I added little bows and voila !!!   Two sweet little Easter Bunnies !!

Hope you like them - I am very "Hoppy" with them.  I would like to add that my inspiration came from a similar larger project by Dawn Griffith circa 2012.

Thanks for looking - and please pop back again.

Bye for now.
