My Stamparatus is Here !!!!!!! A Masculine Eclipse Style Milestone Birthday Card Using the Hinge-Step Technique

So - I took delivery of my brand spanking new Stamparatus on Tuesday, but didn't get to play with it until yesterday.

The unique feature of this stamping precision tool are the hinged removable plates which allow you to create rows of stamped images at even intervals - the Hinge Step Technique.

The Happy Birthday motif in the Window Shopping stamp set lends itself beautiful to this technique.

I stamped my rows of Happy Birthday sentiments alternately in Bermuda Bay and Island Indigo and then sponged in those colours all over my layer.

To create the distressed background I also screwed up a Baby Wipe and dabbed over the finished layer.

I die cut the number 21 from the stamped layer and also three other sets of 21 in Bermuda Bay cardstock and created an Eclipse style card.  I ought to add that I also clear heat embossed the top layer of the number 21 several times to get an ultra shiny Eclipse !

I rather like how this turned out.

Using the Stamparatus made it completely hassle free !

Customers who reserved their Stamparatus during the pre-order period will have been notified by email when their's is in the warehouse and ready for shipping.  Once in receipt of that email, it's simply a case of logging into online store accounts where the Stamparatus will be viewed in the cart.  Further items may be added to those orders if desired.   Be aware that removing the Stamparatus from shopping carts will void the reservation which cannot be reinstated.

For those who missed out on reserving the Stamparatus, please note it will be available to order from June 2018 in the 2018/19 Annual Catalogue.

I have a link here to a really useful video tutorial from Stampin' Up! which demonstrates the Hinge-Step Technique I used for my card today:-

Thanks for looking and I hope you will pop back again.

Ciao for now.

  1. Love you card Linda and has your Stamparatus got a name? Mine is due in March, so excited about it. xx

  2. Good job had to look twice to see the 21 I am terrible for only noticing the obvious!

  3. Love this card you must be over the moon with having your Stamparatus. I have used a stamp positioning tool for quite a while now but it does not do the extensive things that the Stamparatus does, such as the hinged technique. That is something that is going to be very distinctive to Stamparatus.
