Sending Lots of Love with Birthday Blooms - Contemporary Style

I have had the Birthday Blooms stamp set for ages - and there was one stamp from the set which I have never used.

Well I put that right yesterday and came up with what I think is quite a contemporary looking little design.

I covered the bottom half of my Whisper White layer in flowers and decided to add a solitary splash of colour.   I used my Light Rich Razzleberry, Light Bermuda Bay, Light Cherry Cobbler, Light Night of Navy and Dark Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends to carefully colour each of the flower heads, being careful not to let the colour bleed around the edges of the flowers.

* Little tip here - if you find that the colour does slightly bleed, do as I did on a couple of my cards, and use a very fine tipped black water and fade proof pen just to go around the edge hiding the bleed.  My pen has a 0.3 nib, so it is ultra fine.

I used the big bold sentiment from the Lots of Love stamp set, stamping in black across the middle of the card stock and clear heat embossing to make it pop!

I adhered to a black card base measuring 10 x 3.5 inches, scored at 5" to fit an envelope from a pack of note cards from Stampin' Up! which I always keep a stash of.  It's a nice size - not too big and not too small.

Unfortunately the Blends pens are temporarily unavailable to order, due to high consumer demand.  The good news is that they will back on release from 1st June - plenty of time to give you to save up and invest in some if you haven't already done so.

I really like this little design, and will be using it for my Customer Thank You packs for the month of April in an assortment of bright pretty colours.

Hope you like it.

Thanks for looking and bye for now.
