I've Been Cold Turkey - But I'm Back With Paisleys & Posies !

Last week I took time out from blogging as me and the hubster had booked some annual leave in order to give our garden some much need TLC.  However, the elements did battle with us and threw what seemed like a daily dose of torrential rain, some hail and even some thunder to thwart our plans.   So as I write this, the garden is pretty much a mud bath with a heap of gorgeous new shrubs sitting and waiting to be planted in our smart new borders which just aren't that smart.  It's far too muddy and all needs to dry out.

Now, I could have retreated to my craft space, but that just did not seem fair on my very patient dear heart - so I resisted....... until yesterday !!!

After virtually a whole week of going cold turkey, I made this pretty little white heat embossed card
using the retiring Paisleys & Posies stamp set which is available until 31st May or while stocks last.  I also did a little colouring.

I love the clean and simple look of this card.  Hope you like it too.

Thanks for looking and please pop back again.

Bye for now.

Sending Truly Tailored Foxy Birthday Wishes to my Hubby

Today there are yet more celebrations in the Parker Household.   Mr P celebrates his @#!!!!! th birthday !

He is a child of the sixties - and as such I thought that the delightfully retro Birthday Memories DSP (which is retiring and only available until 31 May or while stocks last) would be very appropriate for someone who has fond memories of Watch With Mother and Andy Pandy, amongst other things !!

I was a little worried that it might be a little too twee, but his face when he opened it was a picture ..... he loves the retro fox !!

My Truly Tailored bundle provided the cool foxy sentiment on my big red balloon, and I used yet more retiring products for the other banner "balloons", and after all, he is my No. 1 !!

I had fun with this one - and isn't that what crafting is all about ?

Not much time for crafting today though - I have a house full turning up later to celebrate .... so had better get my skates on,

Have a lovely day and thanks for looking.

Bye for now.

35 Years and Still Counting - Now That's A Number of Years !!!

35 years today on 23 April 1983 (St George's Day) I married my lovely, loving and supportive hubster !!  Apparently, that is a Coral Wedding Anniversary ?    We are doing a garden spruce up, so maybe a nice Coral coloured scented Rose sounds like a good plan.  Any suggestions welcome.

I have to say that I have kind of cheated a bit here today.

My Anniversary card started life as a Valentine Card which I made using the Sure Do Love You clear mount bundle (this is on the Retiring List).  I made so many different cards in the lead up to Valentines Day thinking I would give them all to David - but I held one back.   It was this one which I felt would be nice to adapt and re-jig.

So using the retiring Number of Years Stamp Set and retiring Large Numbers Framelits Dies, and tweaking with a few stamped hearts, I now have a super cute Wedding Anniversary for my lovey other half.

The Large Number Framelits have been a great addition to my crafty stash.  They are incredibly useful for milestone birthdays and anniversaries.   What a shame it is to think that both they and the coordinating stamp set are going and will no longer be available after 31 May.

I can hardly believe that Dave and I have 35 years behind us.   Doesn't time fly !!!

That's it from me today.  Thanks for looking and I hope you will pop back again.

A Sympathy Card with Hopeful Thoughts & Awesomely Artistic

I really don't enjoy making Sympathy Cards but sadly, circumstances warranted the need for another  one last month.   A lovely friend of the family passed away.  He was very courageous and was a super neighbour and friend to my Mother-in-Law.

So this little card evolved.  I used two of my favourite "go to" stamp sets, both of which are on the Retiring List.

It's very understated and hope it's not too sombre.

Originally, I wasn't going to "Blog" this one, but I had a change of heart.  It was nice to honour a very nice man in my own way.

Have a lovely day - I am off on a family reunion today.  Should be interesting and hopefully a lot of fun !

Bye for now,

Linda xx
