Accented Blooms and Springtime Impressions in Balmy Blue

Here is a really quick and simple little card which I think makes a big impact.

I used Springtime Impressions Thinlits Dies to die-cut the intricate background piece and applied it to a piece of Balmy Blue card stock cut to 3.5 x 10 inches, scored at 5 inches on the long side. There was some excess to trim away around the edges, as I chose not to apply the whole die-cut background to my card.

Then I chose the really lovely sentiment from my Accented Blooms stamp set and created a layer of ovals for the focal point.

It really was as simple as that, and took me all of 10 minutes !   Card making made easy, yet the result is pretty gorgeous, and the reciped is all in the Product List below.

Hope you like the simplicity and I hope you will come back for another visit.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Customer Thank You Cards - Floral Frames Bundle & Pretty DSP

I spent some time tucked away in my craft room earlier in the month making up a batch of  "Thank You Packs" for customers who have ordered from me.  Along with my handmade gifts etc., I always include a blank Greetings Card for them to use for an appropriate occasion.

I thought it would be nice if they got to see first hand some of the lovely new DSP for this year's different colour families.

I ended up with a pretty array of assorted colours.

I used my Floral Frames Bundle for this batch.  They have all been dispatched now, and I have received some lovely messages of approval and orders for the DSP, so I guess you could say it was a successful way in which to showcase the DSP.

If you look carefully, you can see that I did a little colouring too using an assortment of Blends and Stampin' Write Markers - always a relaxing and therapeutic way to craft.

That's it from me today - I hope you liked my "Thank You" project and I hope you will feel inspired o pop back for another visit.

Have a great day and ciao for now.

I have to say that this Planner is great value for money at £34.

Tunnel Card in a Clear Acetate Box - Featuring Springtime Impressions Thinlits

I have seen them around and have never had a go - until yesterday.  Tunnel cards, fun fold cards, pop-up cards ..... you may have a different description for them,  but they keep popping up on my Pinterest feed, so I decided it was time to  bite the bullet and add to my "tried and tested" list of card techniques. You can find lots of video tutorial for tunnel cards on YouTube.

I used my Springtime Impressions Thinlits on the front and also as a decorative background within the pop-out element of my card.   There is a lot of texture featured on this this card, as I decided to use an embossing folder on the inner layer.

The card has four layers (which includes the decorative front panel) in total so it's a tight fit in a conventional envelope, which is why I decided it would be a nice idea to present my card in an acetate box. These acetate boxes are ideal for C6 sized cards that feature a lot of texture or are ornately decorated, making them quite deep.   I decided to make a little sleeve  for the inside of the acetate box just to frame my pretty card.  This measures 8 3/8 x 4 3/8 inches, scored at 1/2, 1, 7 3/8 & 7/8 inches on the long side of the card stock.

I had fun with this.   It wasn't a quick project.  There was lots of die cutting for the different elements and layers, a bit of dry embossing and stamping.  But I think all that makes it quite a special card and I hope that it cheers up my recipient.  I like to think that handcrafted cards and gifts in which you invest a little time and love do just that.

Hope you like today's project.  I would love you to pop back again. Thanks for looking.  The recipe for everything I used (apart from the ribbon) is in the Product List below.

Love What You Do & Delicate Lace Edgelits

Out came those new Delicate Lace Edgelits again for today's card.

I used a recipe of Whisper White, Flirty Flamingo and the Love What You Do stamp set for this very feminine little card, adding the pretty new Powder Pink Mini Ruffled Ribbon, which tones beautifully with Flirty Flamingo, to give the card extra texture.

The flowers and sentiment were stamped first in Flirty Flamingo Ink using the Stamparatus and then stamped again with Versamark before been heat embossed with Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder.

The flowers were coloured in using a Blender Pen.

I rather like the way this card evolved.  It's not a regular card base as you will see from this rear shot. The front is Whisper White and the base is Flirty Flamingo. Its just a subtle detail, but I like that it makes it a little different.

Hope you like it and thanks for looking.

See you again tomorrow.

Bye for now.
