New Big Shot Embossing Mats and Foliage Frame Framelits

Well my new Big Shot Embossing Mats arrived this week and after spending time re-jigging my craft room storage, I finally got to play with them and my new gorgeous Foliage Frame Framelits - and ......just Wow !

Look at the beautiful embossed detail I was able to achieve using my new Big Shot Embossing Mats with these special new Framelits dies, which have decorative ejection holes, meaning that not only do they die cut, but they can also emboss in intricate detail leaving pretty decorative impressions on your die cut card.  So, it's a two stage thing; you die cut your frame using your usual sandwich of cutting mats.  Once done, you create a different sandwich to emboss your pretty die-cut card using the Big Shot Embossing Mats.   All is explained and demonstrated in the video below:-

As I missed the Embossing Mats off the order I placed for my Foliage Frame Framelits, I have had a very impatient wait for the mats.   But all is good now ......... I can die cut and intricately emboss with my Foliage Framelits Dies to my heart's content.

I do hope you found this post helpful for showing you how to get the most from dies with intricate ejection holes.

Thanks for looking.

Bye for now,

Linda xx

  1. Absolutely stunning card Linda! But your cards generally are just that - stunning!

  2. I haven't done this for ages Linda, completely forgotten that I had embossing mats that I purchased with my Big Shot. But the reminder is great because now I have far more dies in my craft stash to use in this technique. I love what you have done with the Lovely Lipstick red card stock I think I will start with that colour or the Call Me Clover not quite sure which yet. :O)

  3. Great Card Linda. Thanks for putting up the link to that video- I've been looking for it everywhere!! Love this set and have been playing with it all weekend. The Lipstick version is fabulous!
