Floral Frames and Touches of Texture in Balmy Blue

Today's project is this sweet little tone on tone note card sized greetings card (3.5 x 5 inches) in pretty Balmy Blue ink and card stock.

First off, I punched a large circle from a scrap piece of card, adhered it to the centre of my top layer using masking tape, thus creating a mask.  I then lightly stamped a lacy background using the lace border stamp from my Touches of  Texture stamp set.

Then I removed the circle mask and stamped on the circular floral focal point.

I have used a Versamarker pen (not available from Stampin' Up!) on the pretty floral frame to give a little depth to some of the leaves.  This just simply deepens the colour of the card stock.  I also added some pearly embellishments.

I sponged on some colour around the edges of the top layer to give some definition.

Its pretty simple but I do think its also rather pretty.  Hope you like it too.  I think a set of these in different colours would make a lovely gift.  Just needs a pretty gift box to match !!

Keeping it brief ..... that's it from me today.  Thanks for looking and bye for now.
