Varied Vases Bundle & Stampin' Blends Markers

I really like the simplicity of this card and enjoyed getting out my Stampin' Blends Markers to colour and blend the vases and flowers.

It's a lovely little bundle this one - the stamp set and punch purchased as a bundle costs £36.75, which I think is excellent value for money.  Personally, I love working with punches and this one offers the potential for some really uniquely different cards.  The stamp set offers lots of different stamps too, so cards designed with this bundle need never look the same.

I kept this very simple, stamping in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink which does not bleed with the Blends.  I separately coloured and punched one of the vases and this just gives the card some added dimension.

Hope you like the colours - Bermuda Bay (dark), Pool Party (light), Smokey Slate and Lovely Lipstick (light and dark).

I am going to be playing with this bundle again in the not too distant future.

Thanks for looking and enjoy your Sunday.

Happy crafting !

Healing Hugs Eclipse Card in Flirty Flamingo and Lemon Lime Twist

It was probably around this time last year that I discovered and dabbled with Eclipse Cards.

Having lost and now thankfully recovered a bunch of missing letters from my Large Letters Framelits Dies has now reignited my enthusiasm for them.

I have a newly acquired stamp set called Healing Hugs, which although new, has really inspired me to make several cards in differing designs already.

So naturally, I was inspired to combine an Eclipse design with the beautiful image of the rose that features in the set.

I teamed up Flirty Flamingo and Lemon Lime Twist because the colours look so fresh together for this really nice clean and simple design.  I love lots of white space so decided on just a white layer to show this design off to perfection.

I stacked the top set of letters on two other sets of letters which were die cut in Lemon Lime Twist and Flirty Flamingo card stock.  This gives a much more interesting and greater dimension, making the resulting eclipse style really impressive.

I love the card and particularly the sentiment.  I hope you do too.

I get a fair few comments about the Large Letters Framelits Dies.  I cannot tell you just how many countless times I have used them for cards for all occasions - personalised name cards, Christmas cards, anniversaries, get well cards ........ honestly ...... They are among my "go to" basics and worth their weight in gold.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by today - I can't believe it's Saturday already.  Where has the week gone ?

Anyway, have a lovely weekend and please pop back.

Botanical Bliss Flowers and Calligraphy Essentials - Pretty in Pink and Gold

Well I had a blast creating this little beauty.

It took me a little while because I had to cut a few masks by stamping the flower onto some Post It Notes (ones that have adhesive across the whole of the reverse side), and then fussy cutting them.  I stamped, masked and heat embossed the collection of flowers in gold embossing powder.

Then I selected my Light Old Olive and Light and Dark Lovely Lipstick Blends Marker Pens.  I very carefully coloured in the petals and leaves.  If you are not careful and colour all over the gold embossing, I found the bright embossing dulled.  So just lightly applying and building up the colour was the way to go.  Nice small and gentle strokes.

When I had finished the flowers I had to decide on a sentiment.  I wanted something big but not too overpowering.  Calligraphy Essentials fitted the bill perfectly.   I decided to apply a few sparkly sequins for added texture.

There is something just really pretty and feminine about the card that really appeals to me.   I do hope you like it too.

Thanks for taking a look and I would love you to pop back again.

Bye for now

Falling Flowers & Stampin' Blends Marker Pens

For today's card I stamped some floral motifs in Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto a piece of Whisper White card stock.

Then I selected some Blends Marker Pens and did some very therapeutic colouring.  Next I selected two of my Layering ovals and die cut two ovals from the very centre of my coloured layer.  Using the larger of the two ovals dies, I also die cut an oval from some black card stock.

The stamped and coloured layer was then adhered to my black card base and at this point I inserted black oval back into the aperture that I had previously made.  The smallest coloured die-cut oval was then adhered in the centre.

I coloured in a solitary flower and used the May Flower Framelits to die-cut that and three black co-ordinating shapes, and stacked them together.  This creates great dimension for the flower which becomes the focal point.  I created a simple little black banner for the sentiment which is from the Stitched All Around stamp set to finish it all off.

Well I rather like it - and I hope you do too.

Thank you for looking - and I hope you will pop back.

Bye for now,

Linda xx
